This work package focuses on the role of climate adaptation scenarios in the public domain and the kinds of scientific knowledge that are communicated.

It aims to deepen our understanding of how knowledge, scenarios, public perceptions and behaviour interact, and to find dynamic ways to model and communicate these interactions, particularly addressing the knowledge gaps on how these elements influence public engagement and decision-making.

This work package will develop a model for interface analysis that examines how interactions between science and the public are shaped. This work draws on expertise in interface dynamics (Gerlek), the emergence of patterns between different fields (Bod), responsible measurement (Jolien Francken), and the coming into being of new publics (Dijstelbloem).
